Having recently celebrated the New Year at the Cottages & Lofts at Boat Basin, I found the property to be a blend of comfort and quaint charm, perfect for both solo travelers and small groups. The location is ideal, just a few miles from the breathtaking beaches and the iconic lighthouse of Nantucket. My one-bedroom cottage featured a comfortable queen bed, a full kitchen, and a cozy living space, which allowed me to whip up breakfast before diving into the stunning coastal scenery. The nostalgic feel of the quaint cobblestone streets was a delightful backdrop for our explorations, dotted with charming boutiques and art galleries. While the cottages reflect a dated aesthetic, the thoughtful touches, such as premium bedding and daily housekeeping, provided the necessary convenience for a relaxed getaway. As an avid marine conservation enthusiast, I appreciated having easy access to both the beach and local wildlife trails, offering a perfect combination of adventure and serene coastline views. While some amenities could use a refresh, the Cottages & Lofts stands out for its welcoming atmosphere and proximity to the natural beauty that Nantucket offers, making it a memorable start to the New Year.
